Raquel Beechner

Raquel Beechner, a local San Antonio artist, was born in Mexico City, Mexico and raised throughout Central and South America. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Our Lady of the Lake University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Masters of Education Degree from the University of Texas in San Antonio.

Raquel taught both art and theater at various schools and colleges in the San Antonio area.

Her love of storytelling flourished performing in children’s theatrical production and writing stories for those she loves.

 Presently Raquel is concentrating on illustrating and writing picture books that bring to life characters with a joy for life. Her passion when not writing or creating art is sharing magical moments with her grandson and dancing Argentine Tango.
